Michael "Mike" Starr (born July 29, 1950) is an American actor. Known for his large size, he has typically been typecast as playing thugs or henchmen. Starr was born in Flushing, Queens, New York to a retail employee mother and a meatpacker father. His older brother Beau Starr is also an actor. Mike Starr is a graduate of Hofstra University. He and his family reside in Riverdale, New York. Mike Starr had starred in movies like Goodfellas, The Bodyguard, Jersey Girl and The Ice Harvest. He also has been known for roles as thugs or henchmen, notable roles include GoodFellas, Dumb & Dumber as well as the Ice Harvest. In 1990 at Goodfellas, he played Frenchy. In 1994 at Dumb & Dumber, he played Joe Mentalino. In 2005 at The Ice Harvest, he played Roy Gelles. In addition, Mike Starr has been featured on several episodes of Twilight Zone Radio Dramas.
