Joy Marcus is a Venture Partner at Jerusalem Venture Partners, based in their New York City office. Joy focuses on media, advertising and commerce investments for the firm. Joy is also a Full-Time Lecturer at Princeton University, following her 2014 appointment as a James Wei Visiting Professor. In addition to Anyclip, Joy is a Board Director at Perion (PERI: NASDAQ) and Qwire.
Most recently Executive Vice President and General Manager Digital Video at Condé Nast Entertainment, in her 20+ year career in media Joy has been a change agent adept at launching and growing digital businesses within large legacy companies as well as growing small digital only companies into profitable businesses. Joy was on the management teams that took BarnesandNoble.com public and that led French video site Dailymotion to its sale to Orange (France Telecom). She was named to the Digital Power 50 by the Hollywood Reporter in 2009 and 2010. In 2014, Joy was named a Woman to Watch by Crain's Magazine and a Woman of Power and Influence by the National Organization for Women (NOW). She sits on the Boards of the nonprofits New York Tech Alliance, MOUSE and Hoops4Hope and is an active angel investor.
Joy is a Magna Cum Laude, Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Princeton and has a JD from NYU School of Law.
