Starsky and Hutch are one of those unlikely duos Hollywood is so fond of. Starsky (Ben Stiller) is an uptight, socially awkward, by-the-book cop, who is paired with the cool and laidback cop Hutch (Owen Wilson) – oddly enough, their characterizations are the other way around on the original 70s television show. They have to bust a drug-smuggling ring, but while they are at it they will encounter cheerleaders, cocaine coffee, ponies and a convict obsessed with dragons. The plot is more or less standard cop comedy/odd-couple fare, but it features some fun performances –Snoop Dogg as their informant Huggy Bear and Will Ferrell as the deliciously creepy Big Earl particularly stand out.
