About this movie
The king is dead, long live – no one else, actually. When the entire British royal family dies in a freak accident, the only heir to the throne is Ralph (John Goodman). He’s not your average king, too – in his last job, he’s just been replaced by a chimpanzee. Also, he’s an American. Now the newly declared King Ralph has to learn to be a proper British king. But even a clueless king has rivals – in this case, Lord Percival Graves, who tries to use the one thing Ralph likes about Britain: his dancer girlfriend Miranda. Ralph fumbles his way through the political intrigues and the incomprehensible British customs and cuisine, in this funny ‘90s comedy.
