In 1978, Madeline Ashton (Meryl Streep) was a successful actress. Helen Sharp (Goldie Hawn) was her best friend – and her worst enemy. They had something else in common – both wanted the famous plastic surgeon, Ernest (Bruce Willis). Fourteen years later, they find they have one more thing in common. They’re both immortal. Robert Zemeckis’s wild, dark comedy shows the two women’s quest for eternal youth, through plastic surgeries, beauty parlors, and mystical potions. And when even that’s not enough in a society that would discard them as soon as they grew old, even death doesn’t stop them. It just makes looking good a little bit harder.
