In Will’s world, every man is an island, children are a terrible menace, and one can live the rest of his life off the royalties from his dad’s famous Christmas song. But one day, Will (Hugh Grant) comes up with a new and brilliant scheme - finding dates by pretending to be a single father! It’s a bit of a shame when his clever plan backfires, and he finds himself saddled with Marcus, a troubled, nerdy boy (Nicholas Hoult) and his suicidal hippie mother Fiona (Toni Collette). And no matter what Will does, he simply cannot make them go away.
