Katy Mixon (born Katy Elizabeth Mixon on March 30, 1981) is an American actress. She is best known for her role as April Buchanon on HBO's Eastbound & Down. Mixon was born in Pensacola, Florida and attended Carnegie Mellon University's School Of Drama in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Mixon performed as a member of the acting company at the Tony-Award Winning "Utah Shakespearean Festival" in Cedar City, Utah in 2000 before moving to Los Angeles in 2003. In 2005, Mixon starred in the premiere of the interactive theatre play American Standard at the Los Angeles Edgefest. Mixon has performed at Upright Cabaret. She is currently a regular cast member on the CBS TV series Mike & Molly.
