Isaach De Bankolé (born 12 August 1957; Abidjan, Côte d'Ivoire) is an Ivorian actor. His parents came from Benin and his grandparents from Nigeria. He has appeared in over 30 films, including Jim Jarmusch's Night on Earth, Ghost Dog: The Way of the Samurai, and Coffee and Cigarettes. He has also appeared in Lars von Trier's Manderlay. He recently portrayed Steven Obanno, a terrorist, in the 2006 James Bond film Casino Royale and also "The Lone Man", an assassin in Jim Jarmusch's film, The Limits Of Control (2009). In 2000 he directed his wife, jazz vocalist Cassandra Wilson in the concert film Traveling Miles: Cassandra Wilson (2000). De Bankolé and Wilson married in 2000. In the US, he is best known for his recurring role in season 7 of 24 as Ule Matobo, prime minister of the fictional African country of Sangala.
