Demetri Goritsas is a Canadian-American actor. From Greek and Norwegian parentage, Goritsas was born in Eugene, Oregon, USA, grew up in British Columbia and has lived his adult life in London. Goritsas was educated at Prince George Secondary School, Prince George, British Columbia, Canada. He had a starring role in Gallipoli alongside Jeremy Irons in 2005, and recently appeared briefly as the father of Jack Harkness (played by John Barrowman) in the British sci-fi series Torchwood. Goitsas also was cast as the voice actor for the video game Killzone 2 as the protagonist Sgt. Thomas "Sev" Sevchenko. He is also known as the "Slim Jim" guy
